From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Aircraft was cleared to land on rwy 15, upon landing the aircraft gear collapsed. Pilot did not know which gear collapsed first. There were no skid marks on the runway and no scrapes on the main landing gear doors. The landing gear handle was in the up position. The pilot stated that he put the handle in the up position after the gear collapsed to keep the gear from trying to deploy after they had collapsed. Note: passenger on board stated that he was not taking lessons. Just a pleasure ride.
