From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Airtran (trs) flight 263 from tpa-fnt diverted into Atlanta (atl) due to an incapacitated first officer. While in cruise first officer complained she had a stomach ache and needed to use the lavatory. The lead flight attendant informed the captain a registered nurse was with the first officer, and she could not return to the cockpit. The captain declared a medical emergency, informed ATC he was single pilot status and needed to divert to Atlanta. The airplane landed safely and taxied to the gate without further incident. Paramedics met the aircraft where the first officer was removed and taken to the hospital for evaluation.
