From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) First landing attempt gear handle down, pilot heard loud pop, landing gear would not extend. Performed go around, held in pattern while talking with FAA comm center and airport mechanic on radio. Performed several emergency extension maneuvers, all unsuccessful. Landed with gear up on foamed runway, skidded into grass. Engine stopped prior to touchdown, minor damage to gear doors, belly skins, prop strike. Airbagged aircraft @ wings, disengaged motor, hand crank @ sector gear. Lowered gear and locked in place towed to hangar. All operations normal. Assume sector gear failure. Awaiting insurance company approval for teardown of gear actuator assembly.
