From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Student pilot privacy data omitted was attempting to perform his second solo landing. Just prior to touchdown the aircraft nose drifted to the left. On contact with the ground he overcorrected to the left and lost control and ran off the runway and into the grass. He then went into and out of a shallow ditch ran over a taxiway light traveled across a taxiway and onto a parking ramp missing a parked aircraft by what was estimated as 4 inches and then into a closed hangar door. The aircraft suffered considerable damage. There were no injuries.
