From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The pilot lost control during the landing flare due to a gusting crosswind condition. The aircraft struck a taxiway sign, and the pilot elected to abort the landing. During the go-around the aircraft struck a light pole. The pilot elected to do a fly-by to have the tower check his landing gear condition, and returned for a landing. During the second landing attempt the aircraft went off the right side of the runway due to loss of the left brake, crossing the taxiway striking the second taxiway sign, coming to a stop in the transient parking area.
