From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Pilot was returning from the williston municipal airport VFR when he failed to follow his established procedure of lowering the nose gear prior to entering the pattern. Upon touch down the pilot lowered the nose of the aircraft to the runway and skidded to a stop on the hockey puck that was fiber glassed on the nose section. There was minimal damage to the aircraft and after extending the nose gear he taxied to the hangar. He was counseled on proper checklist procedures and establishing set procedures for gear extension.
