From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Aircraft was on final approach and maintaining contact with the tower. Operator/pilot states that the landing gear was down at the time of landing. However, during landing phase, the operator/pilot noticed the nose of the aircraft began drifting down indicating to him nose landing gear failure/collapse. As the nose seemed to collapse, both left and right gear began to collapse and propellers began striking runway-allowing the aircraft to encounter the runway, skid and come to resting its final position approx 500 feet from initial prop strike. No injuries were sustained. Inspection of the aircraft and aircraft controls verify landing were in a transit position with the landing gear handle in the full up position and not down/lock position. Photos verifiy position of gear handle.
