From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) During landing on 2C with winds 31011G17, aircraft right wing tip (fuel tip tank) struck the ground. The pilot reported that the aircraft aileron augmentation system caution light (aug ail) illuminated during the approach. The pilot reset the spoiler system switch as required by the abnormal procedures checklist and continued the approach. Just prior to touchdown the pilot reported that the aug ail caution light re-illuminated and the aircraft rolled to the right. The pilot was unable to correct the roll with aileron application. The aircraft failed post accident aileron augmentation system test.
