From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot was landing the aircraft to the north on runway 060 at (W95). The pilot made two attempts to land, the first attempt was aborted when the pilot encountered a crosswind of 30 knots. During the second attempt the aircraft touched down on the runway 15 feet from the left edge of the runway, FAR left of centerline 430 feet from the end of runway 06, the approximate heading of aircraft was 030 and at no point was the aircraft aligned with the runway heading during or after touchdown. The winds reported by the pilot were from 350 at 40 knots resulting in crosswind 40 knots. The aircraft continued bouncing from the right main tire to the left main tire then to the nose wheel for 350 feet, it then traveled onto the grass adjacent to the left side of the runway. The aircraft continued through the grass for approximately 400 feet until impacting the trees/brush, located approximately 90 feet adjacent to the left side of the runway. After impact the aircraft spun 180 degrees counter clockwise and settled with the nose of the aircraft pointing south.
