From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On April 13, 2007 N101JJ a blanik L-13 glider was landing after a solo student flight. Upon touch down and roll out on a parallel dirt runway the pilot of N101JJ drifted to the right and struck N505TW a dg model 505 glider which was staged on the concrete runway waiting to launch. The right wing of the blanik struck the left wing of the composite 505 from behind. The impact bent the all metal blanik wing, distorted the wing attach box, and bent the blanik's metal fuselage. The composite 505 glider received minor impact damage to the trailing edge of the left aileron and no visible transmittal damage to the rest of the composite wing. The 505 glider had an instructor and a passenger onboard.
