From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On 4/23/07 at approximately 6:55 am a champ 7-ECA registration number N6341N received substantial damage to both forward wing spars as the aircraft came to rest after an emergency landing at Boire Field, Nashua, NH (ash). The only occupant, the pilot privacy data omitted was able to egress the aircaft uninjured. N6341N was attempting to pickup a banner that was situated parallel to runway 32 to the north of the runway on the grass. The aircraft was too low and the left main gear hooked the banner cable. As trained the pilot cut power and tried to land on the grass in line with his course of travel. The aircraft began to yaw to the left with the drag from the banner and by applying power and full right rudder the aircraft was close to being back in the direction of travel as it bounced once in the very soft and muddy ground. The second contact with the ground the aircraft rolled forward onto its back due to the drag on the gear in the mud and the banner dragging behind. N6341N was relocated to the air direct airways hangar where the iic inspected it and confirmed the damage on 4/24/07.
