(-23) Missing aircraft on a flight from twf to rnt. Radar contact lost east of mount rainier in Washington state. Extensive search conducted with no sign of aircraft. GPS had just been installed in aircraft week prior. Media reported that pilot had been ordered to report to a court proceeding and family members reported that he had his dog and two years of dog food on board the aircraft. If the aircraft is located and is found to be an accident, an updated 8020-23 will be filed.(-23 amendment) missing aircraft has been found and the accident is being handled by privacy data omitted, ASI, of the spokane FSDO.

GPS HAD JUST BEEN INSTALLED IN AIRCRAFT WEEK PRIOR. MEDIA REPORTED THAT PILOT HAD BEEN ORDERED TO REPORT TO A COURT PROCEEDING AND FAMILY MEMBERS REPORTED THAT HE HAD HIS DOG AND TWO YEARS OF DOG FOOD ON BOARD THE AIRCRAFT.
