From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) During landing at the north star ranch, a Private airstrip, located on the selway river Idaho, the aircraft bounced and the left gear sheared off through the top two bolt holes that hold the wheel axle on the left main gear leg. The landing strip is grass and when the aircraft touched down again, the broken end caused more drag than the pilot could control and the aircraft cart wheeled. Damage to the aircraft is extensive. The rear seat passenger reportedly suffered a broken left humerus bone and the pilot suffered minor cuts. The passenger in the copilot's seat did not get hurt.
