From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Flight 1221 encountered unforecast, moderate turbulence during descent between 10,000-7,000 feet while descending into den. While passing 7,000' and intercepting the localizer, one of the four onboard flight attendants was doing her final cabin check when the aircraft encountered a jolt of moderate turbulence, causing the flight attendant to fall and injure her left leg. At the time of the turbulence encounter, the flight was operating in VFR conditions and there were no pireps or tps active for the area of the encounter. The flight continued and landed uneventfully in den. Paramedics met the flight and the flight attendant was removed and taken to the hospital. It was later determined the flight attendant broke her left leg approximately 6" above the ankle.
