From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Cross country flight from chester county airport (40N) to salisbury, MD (sby). Performed emergency landing at Dover, afb due to total loss of electrical power. Pilot and USAF mechanics determined that the alternator belt was loose. Pilot called back to 40N and was told to "bring the airplane back." USAF personnel charged the battery and the pilot started the engine. He departed dov and returned to 40N without performing any maintenance and with the "alt" light illuminated. The statement of the pilot indicates that the airplane lost electrical power again shortly before arriving at 40N.
