From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On August 5, 2007, at 1911 local time, the flight crew for trans state airlines, operating as flight 5473 departing st. louis, Missouri (stl) for denver, Colorado (den) diverted to Wichita, KS (ict) because of warning indications from the eicas. The #1 hydraulic system overheat, and the #1 hydraulic system fail warning lights illuminated while in flight. After aircraft N819HK landed, Wichita airline maintenance (contract maintenance) verified the operation of the #1 hydraulic system pump, and the electrical pump per the Emb 145 maintenance manual. Contract maintenance also had to service the #1 hydraulic system because it was low. The aircraft was issued a special flight permit from ict to stl with the landing gear pinned down for continued maintenance.
