From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The pilot privacy data omitted stated he took off from runway 36 at karr. At about 2100 feet MSL and 5 miles north of karr the left engine was running rough and the rpm's started to decrease. The pilot decided to shut the engine down as a precaution. He declared an emergency and made a left turn towards karr. He gradually descended towards runway 18 at karr where he put the gear lever in the down position at about 500 feet AGL at about 1/2 mile from runway. He did not pump the gear down with the pump lever because he felt that he did not have enough time and was concerned about landing the aircraft safely (he thought it would take 12-14 pumps). Upon landing the nose gear collapsed causing damage to the aircraft nose area and RH. LH propeller was also damaged slightly.

As the FAA filed it

(-23) THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ STATED HE TOOK OFF FROM RUNWAY 36 AT KARR.
