From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) N7683B, Bellanca, while on approach to kful, pilot lowered the landing gear and did not get a green light for the left main gear. He requested a go around from the tower and asked ATC if the gear appeared to be down, to which they replied that the gear did appear to be down. The pilot then cycled the gear while in the pattern and got both green down lights. Pilot then made a normal approach and landing on RW24. Approximately 3 seconds after touch down the left main gear collapsed which caused the pilot to lose directional control. The aircraft departed the runway and slid to a stop in the dirt. Aircraft sustained minor damage to the left hand wing and propeller tips. Neither the pilot nor passenger were injured.
