From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) This light sport aircraft was landing at kfpr. During the final approach the ATIS was reporting winds of 110@12 gusting to 19. The pilot attempted a landing on runway 09. During the roundout to touchdown a strong gust of wind made the aircraft balloon slightly then the wind dissipated. The aircraft dropped to the runway surface and impacted the runway on the main gear. The aircraft bounced, and the pilot initiated a go around and added full power. Before the application of full power was able to react, the aircraft landed again on all three wheels at the same time. This impact caused the nose wheel strut to collapse. The aircraft was evacuated after stopping on the runway.
