From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) According to the pilot, he was attempting to land when aircraft left wing contacted brush. (-23 amendment) according to interviews with the air safety investigators for the operator, and the operator's written statement, the purpose of the flight was to evaluate and provide instruction to the commercial pilot on off-airport landings. The pilot was demonstrating a touch and go landing to the commercial pilot when the left wing struck a clump of small trees/tall vegetation, and yawed to the left. The pilot continued with the touch and go, and successfully flew to anchorage. It was later determined that the left wing required a rib replacement.
