From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) PIC reported that prior to landing the right strut was fully extended and the left strut was normal. The pilot attempted a wheel landing and on rollout when the tail wheel was on the ground the aircraft made an uncontrollable left turn. The pilot could not stop the turning action with rudder or brakes on the right side. The aircraft ground looped just off the side of the runway causing minor damage to the right wing. Further investigation revealed the right control cable tension to the tail wheel was slack which could have prevented the tail wheel from castering to the right using rudder pedals.
