What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
(-23) Aircraft had completed 5 touch and gos on a local flight. On sixth landing, pilot felt a "pop" and aircraft began to settle right wing low. Pilot held right wing up and applied slight left brake to maintain runway heading. As speed slowed, right main gear collapsed and aircraft departed right side of runway at a slow rate of speed. Aircraft sustained additional damage when it went off the runway and tipped up on its nose. Pilot suspected bungy cord failure.
