From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The incident occurred about 2:45 the afternoon of the 30th of October, at the Houma, LA airport (khum). Pilot was flying N727FA from new iberia. The trip originated from kbtr with a stop at L38 before proceeding to new iberia. Pilot made a VFR approach to runway 36 from a long left base as directed by the tower. The approach was normal, the gear was extended and every indication was that it was down and locked. On touch down of the mains pilot thought at first he had a flat tire on the right side.
