From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Based on eyewitness reports, N105PP departed New Castle county airport, New Castle, DE (kilg) on runway 27. At approximately 200 feet the aircraft began a left roll, climbed to about 300 feet and then continued a left roll until it struck the ground in an almost vertical attitude between a vacant hangar and taxiway f, just south of taxiway F3. The pilot, still secured to the seat was ejected from the aircraft. The aircraft burst into flame on impact and was consumed by the fire. Flap actuators recovered from the crash site indicated that the left actuator was up and the right actuator was extended approximately six (6) inches. A six (6) extension would equate to approximately a 30 degree flap setting. Pilot and aircraft logbooks could not be located.
