From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Upon landing the aircraft was rolling on the runway when the nose gear retracted without the pilot selecting retract. This particular make and model has a serious propensity for the nose landing gear collapsing without warning. There is an AD related to this and the records show that the AD has been accomplished on time and the bolt was replaced just over 300 hours ago. The AD requires that the bolt be replaced every 500 hours. The reporting inspectors will be present to observe the disassembly of the nose landing gear drag links for further examination and investigation. The owner/operator will advise the reporting inspector prior to commencement of work.
