From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On 2/14/2008 at Greensboro, NC (gso), aircraft N806UP began its take-off roll on rwy 5 at 2327. Approximately 800 ft into the takeoff roll, at a speed of less than 80 KTS, the crew was unable to maintain control of the aircraft with l/h rudder input and/or l/h nose wheel steering. The aircraft veered off the right side of the runway and came to rest in the grass at the 2000 ft marker. The aircraft started departing the centerline of runway 5 at the 1000 ft marker. Aircraft sustained little or no damage. Pilot stated during the interview that all systems were in working order and no discrepancies were noted. A review of the aircraft log page revealed that the crew stated that the #4 engine failed on the takeoff roll and that the takeoff was aborted. During the incident investigation it was noted that the #4 main fuel tank was found to be empty. This was confirmed by gauge and fuel stick readings. Review of fuel loading records revealed that prior to takeoff, the #4 main fuel tank was filled to 3100 pounds.
