From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Entered a left downwind for runway 36 at Foster Field. After checking weather and looking at the wind sock determined the wind was 090 degrees. Planned a soft field landing technique. Just prior touchdown a wind gust pushed the aircraft to the west (left) at touch down the left tire hit the snow on the west edge of the runway causing the front the aircraft to turn into the snow bank. The nose of the aircraft went into the snow bank and the aircraft flipped onto it's top. Both passengers exited the plane without injury. Runway is 30 feet wide with 15 feet of grass on both sides of pavement before the runway lights. Received wx from dbq and fepawos. Wind 090 at 9 knots. No report of gusts.
