From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On 03/16/2008 at Idabel, OK at airport (4O4) at 15:00 CDT, the pilot was attempting to land on runway 02. The AWOS recording reported airport conditions were crosswinds from the east sustained at 35KTS with gusts from 40 to 45KTS. During the landing flare, a gust of wind raised the right wing and caused the aircraft to go nose high. The pilot over-corrected the condition and the aircraft landed hard on the nose gear and subsequently the propeller struck the runway.
