From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) During take-off from runway 19 at the Valle Airport, (40G) the aircraft accelerated to 65-70 mph and lifted off momentarily near the right edge of the runway and then settled back down to the surface. Aircraft continued accelerating down the runway to a speed of 70-80 mph with approximately 1/3 of the runway remaiining, although would not lift off. With approximately 1/4 of the runway remaining, the PIC attempted to stop on the remaining runway surface. The aircraft subsequently contiinued past the runway end, and stopped approximately 100 feet in the over-run area. The aircraft received substantial damage to the landing gear assembly and wing spar as a result of this over-run into an unimproved area. Additional facts: airport elevation 5,999', temperature 45 degrees f, runway length 4199', density altitude 7137', winds 210 @ 22 KTS g 32 KTS, flap setting at take-off 10 degrees.

As the FAA filed it
