From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) During a familiarization/training flight originating in lakeland and traveling near Okeechobee, the crew landed and proceeded with a normal takeoff. After takeoff the crew identified a flap position discrepancy and zero hydraulic pressure. They then lost EGT and the engine dropped off line, the experienced pilot took command and attempted an air start without success. The distance they were from the airport was significicant and they identified a nearby highway. During the emergency landing the gear would not extend forcing a gear up landing. The aicraft successfully landed, causing aircraft damage to the underside belly (skid plate) and surrounding areas. There was no damage to the roadways and private property was untouched. During my initial investigation, I noticed the gear did try to extend but only the right main shown signs of extension. We then moved the aircraft off the roadway and to Okeechobee municipal airport, where when placing the aircraft on the ramp the gear was lowered without fault and as well locked down. It appears the aircraft may have had two contributing factors to the incident.

As the FAA filed it
