From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Pilot landed the pier warrier ii aircraft on rwy 10 at Twisp Municipal Airport (2S0) and then taxied onto a taxilane in a northwesterly direction on the southwest side of the runway along a row of privately-owned hangars. The aircraft's left wing-tip struck a 6X6 wooden hangar door support post situated 10 inches in front of the north corner of the first hangar. The aircraft continued in a forward motion and veered to the left approximately 20 feet, whereupon the left wing struck the corner of the second hangar and stopped. The aircraft sustained substantial damage to the wing-tip and leading edge of the left wing. The impact also caused the left wing to pull away from the fuselage by approximately 1.5 inches, resulting in the trailing edge of the flap to strike the fuselage. No injuries were reported by the pilot following the accident and there was no pre or post accident fire.

As the FAA filed it
