From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On April 16, 2008, aircraft N500EF departed the Fort Lauderdale Executive (fxe) at approximately 1341 local time to caracas. Venezuela 9SVM); it returned to fxe at approximately 1453 local time. The aso-roc reported tht the aircraft had landed with gear problems. On April 24, 2008, this office interviewed the pilot in command (PIC) by telephone; he stated that after departure, he retracted the landing gear but the fort-Lauderdale dispatch along with ATC reported that the left landing gear door did not looked closed. The PIC stated that he made a precautionary landing. He also stated that when the gear was lowered, the gear transition light extinguished and the three green position lights were illuminated. In a phone converstation on April 25, 2008, privacy data omitted, a mechanic from executive Gulfstream at fxe stated that on 16 April 2008, the pilot reported that the aircraft hydraulic pressure gauge was fluctuating. He inspected the aircraft hydraulic system and serviced the left hydraulic reservoir with 2 quarts of hydraulic fluid. This was confirmed by invoice nr 8014. Since the PIC did not receive a unsafe gear indication and safety was not a factor, suggest downgrading to an occurance.

As the FAA filed it

IN A PHONE CONVERSTATION ON APRIL 25, 2008, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, A MECHANIC FROM EXECUTIVE GULFSTREAM AT FXE STATED THAT ON 16 APRIL 2008, THE PILOT REPORTED THAT THE AIRCRAFT HYDRAULIC PRESSURE GAUGE WAS FLUCTUATING.
