From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Upon returning to onx, after a local flight, the pilot put the landing gear switch in the down position. He did not receive a green light so he attempted to manually lower the gear. The emergency extension would not release so the pilot decided the gear must be in the down and lock position. Upon touch down, the pilot could feel the plane start to drop so he initiated a go around. After receiving a visual from the ground confirming the gear was 2/3 retracted the pilot decided to land in the grass parallel to runway 23.
