What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
Planned landing at kuntsman airport (private grass strip) flew non standard pattern to land on rwy 36 with a right crosswind. PIC stated that about 3' AGL lift was lost so he applied power. Aircraft struck ground in a right slip causing left main landing gear leg to shear above wheel and separate from aircraft striking left wing flap and leading edge of left stabilator. Nose wheel separated from strut due to failure of lower fork to tube attach fitting. Flight continued to the Romeo State Airport (D98) where an emergency landing was accomplished on runway 18. The aircraft settled on the runway resulting in a prop strike while the engine was being shutdown.
