From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) At 1810 UTC at Eppley Airfield in Omaha, Nebraska, a Learjet LR-55, N905RL, s/n 074 on a 135 air charter flight was taxiing for departure and reported smoke in the cabin to oma ground control. The aircraft was shut down and six people evacuated without injury. Airport fire and rescue found no evidence of smoke or fire damage. Aircraft maintenance personnel at Eppley airport found a defective cockpit blower motor to be the source of the smoke.
