From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) At 2140 local time the owner operator of N4961K, after landing at okv, failed to turn on his landing light after landing while taxiing. This caused him to be taxiing on the ramp area instead of the taxiway. He did not recognize the red lights on his left and the absence of the blue lights. He continued to taxi over a gravel road and down a 45 degree bank until the aircraft rested in a ditch. Minor damage was done to the aircraft.
