What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
(-23) The turf runways in use were soft from recent rains. The pilot tried taking off first from a shorter runway, realized he was not getting enough speed for takeoff, and aborted. The pilot then repositioned to the longer runway and attempted to takeoff. He again was not getting sufficient speed for takeoff. The pilot elected to abort the second takeoff attempt. Hard braking resulted in the left brake fading, causing the aircraft to groundloop off the side of runway. The left wing struck the ground, causing susbtantial damage. The pilot was uninjured.
