From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Aircraft was enroute from bis to 6L3, part 91 flight, no passengers, VFR conditions. Pilot states during cruise, "engine just quit". Switched fuel selector to right tank because "it had more than the left tank". Engine caught for second and quit. Pilot states it was necessary to put down in field as the roads in immediate area were surrounded by powerlines. Aircraft touched down once for approx 30 yards, then airborne for approx 22 yards and touching down again. This time nosewheel "dug" in the aircraft flipped. Field soil conditions were soft due to recent rain. Corn crop was not a factor as height was only 4-6 inches. Pilot suffered minor facial cuts and bruising. Aircraft substantially damaged.
