What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
(-23) On June 17, 2008 at 1400, Point Roberts, WA, Cessna T182T, N2413M, pilot attempted to land on runway 34 with gusty and shifting winds and upon approach to runway, the winds shifted to a tailwind. The pilot attempted to land aircraft when he noticed an increase of ground speed verus airspeed and elected to go-around. During the go-around, the aircraft encountered a stall condition and the pilot corrected for it by lowering the nose. With this action, the pilot hit some 110 ft trees and lost altitude and attempted to get aircraft out over the water to set up for another landing. Pilot lands safely and aircraft sustained substantial damage to the right and left wing leading edge, engine cowling, wheel fairings, wing struts, and the horizontal stabilizer.
