From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) American eagle flight 3354, enroute from dallas love (dal) to Kansas City International Airport (mci), was getting a burning electrical odor on approach into mci. The emergency equipment was called out to meet the aircraft after it landed. The aircraft landed at mci and taxied off the runway, set the parking brakes, and shut down the engines. The passengers (4) were all safely evacuated as a precautionary measure. The fire fighters entered the aircraft but could not find the source of the fumes. The cockpit crew turned all electrical power off and when that was complete the odor dissipated. The aircraft was towed to the gate and maintenance personnel found that the aft flight attendant station flashlight holder was the source of the burning electrical smell.
