From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The pilot of this air ambulance was returning from a patient delivery at salt lake city, Utah. He was in an approach to land at his base, Elko, Nevada. He stated that when descending to land on runway 5 he reduced power and lowered the flaps, hearing the landing gear horn at a power setting of 200 pounds of torque, as indicated on the instrumetns. He continued to select full flaps, and when the aircraft entered ground effect near the runway he heard a ticking sound and applied power to make a go around. He realized that he had not lowered the landing gear so he did another pattern, lowered the gear and landed. He then inspected the propellers on both engines, and noted that all prop tips had contacted the runway surface.
