From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

privacy data omitted Certificate number privacy data omitted PIC of aircraft N-94HJ was attempting to land at Skykomish airport (S88) a 2000 ft grass strip. Winds were west to east at 10 KTS gusting to 20 KTS. Pilot overflew airport then came around to attempt a landing the aircraft started to float approximately halfway down the strip. The pilot reported flaps at 20 and carb heat on he gave full power but the aircraft didn't seem to respond so he elected to attempt a full stop landing. He was unsuccessful and the aircraft went off the end of the runway down approximately 15 ft embankment and came to rest nose down about 30 degrees. The aircraft sustained extensive damage to the firewall as the nose gear collapsed and the propeller was damaged. The aircraft was removed and will be disassembled for shipment to repair station.
