The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
(-23) Landing runway 23 at Byron, CA (C83). Winds were at 3 knots from 220 at the time of the accident. Aircraft approach speed was at 60 mph and the aircraft dropped from 10 feet impacting the runway at the center line. The front wheel shattered on impact. The trike continued slidding on the front fork departing the side of the runway at which point the front fork dug into the ground causing the aircraft to flip, hitting the wing nose and coming to rest on the left leading edge of the wing and pod. The prop hit the ground and broke off two (out of 3) blades which also caused the engine to stop. Both pilot and passenger were uninjured.
