From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Pilot was ferrying the aircraft from portland to Utah to perform removal of equipment from high lakes in Utah. The pilot stopped for fuel in Burns, OR while taxiing the aircraft to the fuel dock the pilot elected to approach the fuel dock using the secondary taxi way because there was an aircraft parked in the area of the primary taxi way. The pilot was concerned about the effects of the rotor wash on the other aircraft on the area. While negotiating the sharp corner to the fuel dock the rear rotor struck a building damaging 3 aft rotor blades and causing wrinkling to the rear pylon and fuselage structure.
