From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The aircraft landed and substained an alleged, gear collapse. It is in question as to the circumstances leading to the gear failure weather mechanical locking failure or pilot induced. Pilot failed to utilize the abnormal procedures checklist when the gear motor cb was popped. He indicated that he reset the breaker twice and had a green down and locked light. On October 2, 2008 the gear was functionally tested and performed to the extent necessary to obtain a down and locked condition electrically and manually. Structural damage to the motor supports sustained during the accident prevented a full retraction of the gear into the well.
