From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The PIC was practicing landings and takeoffs at rostraver airport (fwq). Upon his return to Allegheny County Airport (agc), the pilot stated that he received clearance to extend downwind for traffic, and he did not follow his usual checklist flow (gumps abeam the numbers). He executed the pattern as cleared and during the landing round out, the tower controller commanded a go-around. The pics reaction was too slow (the PIC stated the go around instruction confused him) due to the close proximity to the runway, the prop struck the runway surface. The PIC stated that he did not hear the gear warning horn. The flaps were at full down, and the throttle was in the idle position. The aircraft came to rest along the centerline approximately 150 ft. beyond the intersection of runways 28 and 31. No injuries to the sole occupant. He evacuated the aircraft without assistance.
