From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On 1-3-2009, at 1300 local time, N70DD a Beech 58 piloted by privacy data omitted, departed bemidji, MN for anoke, MN. The flight was on an IFR flight plan, cruising at 4000' with 1 passenger on board, operating under part 135 rules. About 20 miles north of Brainerd the pilot encountered icing precipitation that was not forecast. Aircraft performance was decreasing rapidly and the pilot could visually see kbrd below. The pilot notified ATC of the icing conditions and requested clearance to kbrd. No emergency was declared. The pilot made 2 passes to get orientated with the airport because ice had accumulated on the alcohol controlled windshield. The final approach resulted in a hard landing causing damage to the landing gear, right propeller, right fuselage, and right wing. There was no fire, no injuries, and the ELT did not activate. He taxied to the ramp and reported the incident to his company.
