From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

See ptrs record SO19200916239. Student pilot was landing and was asked to land and hold short of intersecting runway. He declined stating to ATC he was a student pilot. Upon landing ATC told pilot to make the first turn off. Pilot failed to stay on the taxi way and ended up in the grass. ATC asked if the student pilot could taxi back on to hard surface. Pilot elected not to taxi due to close proximity of a runway sign. ATC sent out security who helped guide the pilot around the obstacle. Aircraft was inspected and no damage. Student pilot was given remedial training by the asst. Chief flight instructor and recently passed his private pilot license. When I asked the new private pilot what he learned that day stated 'when I am cleared to land, I have the entire runway to do what I want." No further action is required.
