From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Aircraft departed dab for heg, on gear retraction pilot heard loud pop and observed gear unsafe warning light. Pilot recycled gear with no results and determined that the main gear was down and locked, the problem was the nose gear. The pilot performed a low pass over the tower and determined visually that the nose gear was partially extended. The pilot then landed on runway 16 on the main gear after feathering both engines. Investigation determined that the nose gear door was not connected, did not open on gear retraction causing the nose gear to jam in an intermediate position.
