From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On 01/26/2009, N9727F was piloted by privacy data omitted. The pilot, employed by skydive las vegas at Boulder City Nevada airport (61B) used reverse thrust of the propeller to back up the aircraft in an attempt to have one of the main wheels miss a large cable clamp used to secure two sections of a ground tie-down cable. In the process, the aircraft tipped back onto its tail tie-down bracket. The aircraft was inspected and damage was noted to the aft tie down ring as well as damage to the tail cone skin, inner ribs and lower section of aft canted bulkhead. The aircraft was subsequently repaired in accordance with the CE-208 structural repair manual.
